Chairman – Allen Reinhard: Allen was first elected in 2003 and is currently serving his third term. He works as a summer ranger and leads nature walks for the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. He also serves on the Civic League, Roads and Right of Way Committee, Water Commission and Cemetery Commission. Allen is originally from Ohio and has been a teacher, a bicycle shop owner, and real estate broker among other experiences. Allen was a summer resident for 30 years until he made Nantucket his year round home in 1990.
Vice Chairman – Neil Paterson: Neil was elected in 2011 and is running for reelection in April. Neil is a volunteer fireman and serves as the Fireman’s Association President. He has worked on various work groups for town capital projects such as the New Fire Station Committee, the Fire Chief Search Panel as well as many not‐for‐profit boards. Neil was raised on a farm in Scotland, but has called Nantucket his home since 1979.
Secretary – Richard Glidden: Richard is finishing his first year as Commissioner and his experience as a real estate attorney is a welcome addition to the Commission. Richard was recently honored by the Boys and Girls Club for his many years serving on the board and as a coach. Richard was born and raised on Nantucket.
Treasurer – John Stackpole: John was elected to the Land Bank in 2000 and is serving his fourth term. John has held several elected and appointed positions in Town Government and was a volunteer fireman for 37 years retiring as a Captain and is a Veteran of the US Army. He has also served on several not‐for‐profit organizations over the years. John is a tenth generation Nantucketer, whose ancestors include the Pinkham, Starbuck, Coffin and Folger families of Nantucket. John is presently CEO of Harbor Fuel Oil Corporation of Nantucket.
Vice Secretary/Vice Treasurer – Robert Gardner: Bob was elected in 2007 and is currently serving his second term. Bob also serves on the Cemetery Commission, and is a past President of the Chamber of Commerce. Bob has worked in public water supply since 1972 in Vermont until he became the fifth, (since 1880 and first off‐island) General Manager of the Wannacomet Water Company.
